This Privacy Policy describes how the CueSync mobile application ("App") collects, uses, and safeguards personal data. By installing or using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Ownership and Scope

1.1 Ownership The App is owned and operated by Spiridonov Nikolai Aleksandrovich, IP. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by the owner.

1.2 Applicability This Privacy Policy applies solely to the CueSync App available on the iOS platform and does not extend to any third-party services or websites that are not under our direct control.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 No Required Personal Data We do not require you to provide personal information (e.g., name, email, address) to use the App. We do not ask you to create an account or register, and we do not knowingly collect any information that could directly identify you.

2.2 On-Device Speech Processing The App uses your device’s microphone to perform on-device speech recognition for the Speech Sync feature. All audio processing occurs entirely on your device. We do not transmit, store, or have access to any audio recordings or speech data. Your voice never leaves your device.

2.3 Scripts and Content All scripts and text content you create or import into the App are stored locally on your device using on-device storage. We do not have access to, collect, or transmit your scripts or any content you enter into the App.

2.4 Camera and Video Recordings If you enable the camera feature, all video recordings are saved locally on your device. We do not upload, transmit, or have access to any video content captured by the App. You retain full control over your recordings — you can save them to your Photo Library, share them, or delete them at your discretion.

2.5 Device and Usage Data Certain data may be collected automatically to improve functionality and user experience:

  • Device Information: Model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (including Device ID and, if authorized, IDFA).
  • App Usage: Version, build number, session timestamps, pages/screens viewed, performance metrics, crash reports, and diagnostic information.

This data is used solely for internal analytics, debugging, and performance optimization. We do not use it to personally identify you or to track you outside of the App.

2.6 In-App Purchases The App offers subscription-based Premium services. These are processed via Apple’s in-app purchase mechanism. We do not store or process payment card details. We may receive non-personal data (e.g., subscription status) to enable or disable premium features accordingly.

3. Microphone and Camera Access

3.1 Microphone Purpose The App requests microphone access solely for the Speech Sync feature, which uses on-device speech recognition to track your reading position and scroll your script accordingly.

3.2 Camera Purpose The App requests camera access to allow you to record yourself while reading from the teleprompter, as a fullscreen background or a picture-in-picture overlay.

3.3 No Recording or Transmission of Audio Audio captured by the microphone for Speech Sync is processed in real time on your device and is not recorded, stored, or transmitted to any server. Once processed, the audio data is immediately discarded.

3.4 Local Video Storage Video recordings created with the built-in camera feature are stored locally on your device only and are never uploaded or transmitted to any server by the App.

3.5 Optional Permissions Both microphone and camera access are optional. You can use the App’s Fixed Speed scroll mode without microphone permission, and you can use any scroll mode without camera permission. You can enable or revoke these permissions at any time in your device’s Settings.

4. How We Use the Collected Data

We use the data described above for the following purposes:

  1. Service Delivery: To provide teleprompter functionalities and ensure stable App operation.
  2. Performance and Analytics: To diagnose technical issues, enhance user experience, analyze usage, and improve features.
  3. Security and Compliance: To maintain application security and comply with legal requirements.
  4. Notifications: To send essential updates, alerts, or changes regarding the App, if push notifications are enabled.

5. Third-Party Services

We use reputable third-party services for analytics, crash reporting, and remote configuration. These providers have access only to the data necessary to perform their functions on our behalf. No speech data, audio recordings, video recordings, or script content is shared with any third party.

5.1 Firebase

  • Crashlytics: Collects crash reports.
  • Analytics: Aggregates usage data.
  • Remote Config: Manages in-app configurations and A/B tests.

6. Children’s Privacy

The App is rated 4+ on the Apple App Store. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal data from minors. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a minor has provided personal information to us, please contact us immediately so that we can delete such data from our systems.

7. Data Security and Retention

7.1 Security Measures We implement technical and organizational measures to safeguard the information collected, including secure connections and encryption where feasible. Nonetheless, no method of data transmission or storage is guaranteed to be completely secure.

7.2 Local Data All scripts, settings, speech processing data, and video recordings remain on your device. We do not have the ability to access, retrieve, or delete your local data remotely.

7.3 Retention Period We retain collected analytics data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or as required by law. Non-identifiable, aggregated information may be retained indefinitely for analytics.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If any material changes are made, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use of the App after such changes indicates your acceptance of the revised policy.
